Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef (you can also use Lamb or Bison)
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 Yellow Pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) Diced Tomatoes
  • 2 cups Beef Broth

Directions

  1. Place meat in Round Mold and cover fully with Bonmat
  2. Next, place in microwave and cook on high for approximately 4 minutes (you can break up the meat before or after cooking)
  3.  Pull sides of the Round Mold together and pour a little grease in a pot on the stove for the next step
  4. Pour off remaining grease and dispose of it
  5. Add Onions, Garlic and Cumin to the pot and mix well
  6. Add Chili Powder, Paprika, Dry Mustard and Salt and mix well
  7. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until the Onions are translucent; about 4-5 minutes
  8. Add the Bell Peppers, Tomatoes, Broth and Meat to the pot
  9. Turn the heat to high
  10. When the Chili reaches a boil, reduce to low and simmer uncovered for about an hour

Perfect on a snowy night!

This was so easy to make after a long day at work and everyone enjoyed it. We topped with sour cream and chives.
