Lemon Lavender Loaf

  • 4 Medium eggs
  • 1 and 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 and 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter
  • 4 teaspoons dried lavender
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons baking powder

Simple Syrup

  1. 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  2. 1/2 cup water


  1. Whisk the eggs and sugar until pale and creamy. Add lemon juice, melted butter, and lavender. Mix until combined.
  2. Sift in the flour with baking powder and mix with a mixer until well combined. Pour the batter into the Forteez 6 Loaf tray.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 360°F 40 minutes or until an inserted cake tester comes out clean.
  4. Right after you take out the bread from the oven, pour the simple syrup over each loaf and unmold it immediately. Let the bread cool down before slicing.
  5. Optional: Arrange lemon slices on the loaf or each slice and sprinkle with dried lavender.

For the Simple Syrup:

  1. Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir until dissolved with a slight color.
  3. Remove from heat and pour directly over each loaf.
