Ingredients

Ingredients:

  •  8 cups stale bread cubes (about 1-inch pieces)
  • 1 cup dried cherries
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 celery stalks, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons French Pantry Rosemary Basil Thyme Herb Blend
  • 2 teaspoons dried sage
  • 2 teaspoon French Pantry Roasted Garlic and Chive Herb Blend
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon French Pantry Tellicherry Pepper
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 large eggs, beaten

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F Place the Mini Loaf Tray on the Medium Perforated Baking Sheet

2. Combine the stale bread cubes and dried cherries in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.

3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion, celery, and minced garlic. Sauté until the vegetables become translucent and slightly softened.

4. Add the French Pantry Herb Blends, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine and allow the herbs to release their flavors, around 1-2 minutes.

5. Pour the vegetable and herb mixture over the bread cubes and dried cherries. Toss to distribute and coat the bread cubes with the mixture evenly

6. Slowly pour the chicken or vegetable broth over the bread mixture, stirring gently as you pour. The bread should be moistened but not overly soaked. Adjust the amount of broth as needed.

7. Add the beaten eggs to the bowl and mix well to combine. The eggs will help bind the stuffing together

8. Transfer the stuffing mixture to the Mini Loaf Tray, spreading it out evenly

9. Cover the baking dish with the bon Mat and press down to fill every corner and center of each well. Bake for 20 minutes. Then remove the bon Mat and continue baking uncovered for 10 minutes until the top is golden brown and crispy.

10. Once done, remove the stuffing from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before unmolding.

The stuffing with dried cherries added to it is a delicious side dish for Thanksgiving or any festive meal. The combination of savory and slightly sweet flavors adds a delightful twist to the traditional stuffing recipe. To make gluten-free, use gluten-free bread.
